Not too surprising, the show is still in the Sanctuary arc and ended on a cliffhanger.

We'll probably be seeing a lot more 12-episode seasons if they plan to cover the entire manga for this.

It must have done decent business for someone if it’s still going.

Personally I wouldn’t mind it going until they can get The Struts in the recording booth to do a version of Soldier Dream.

I was just about to ask, it seems like they hadn't even finished Sanctuary yet (I'm honestly surprised in a good way they didn't try to rush all the Gold Saint fights in 12 episodes).

I wonder if they do plan to adapt Poseidon or Hades again at some point.

I'm just baffled why they keep milking this CGI reboot but won't put the original anime back on streaming. Is it just cheaper for them or something?

Kinda? It’s not as bad as some people thought it was going to be, but not especially great either, as long as you don’t mind changes from the original story.

I'm surprised it took this long for them to announce a sequel considering the second season ended on a cliffhanger

Do you rec it for someone that enjoyed the og up to the Sanctuary arc but found the rest horrible or forgettable at best?

Most people don't care about some old 80s anime.

By all accounts no one seems to care about that this CGI remake either but someone keeps funding it.

It's literally one of the most popular anime of all time in Latin America (arguably only second to Dragon Ball), but go off I guess

They will still rather watch this, than the original series.

I'll say it improved a lot in the second season, both in terms of visuals and writing, although it's still held back by some bad decisions made in the first season. If you like the Gold Saints portion of the Sanctuary arc, you'll probably enjoy this remake.
