That's a cool generalization you've got there, but I quite enjoyed Three Houses, as you could probably tell by the fact that I care about what Edelgard looks like in this. |

The same-face syndrome is just... Severe here. And they all look horrid. They changed Claude's eyes, and that's just a big a problem as Edelgard's disastrous design.
I swear, that's what happens when you get a VTuber designer... It's just horrible. (This coming from someone who enjoyed Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones, the Tellius saga, Awakening and Three Houses. Fates didn't happen) |

I really just kind of hate the whole Emblem thing? I'm looking forward to the game as a whole but from the moment they announced that aspect it's just felt like a stupid tacked-on gimmick to sell phoned-in nostalgia DLC around and that's what we've got confirmation of now. It just feels so utterly useless and cheap and lazy, and I'm not really sure what the appeal of, "Give us $30 to have Tiki show up and give you a stat buff!" is supposed to be.
It doesn't really help that while I like a lot of the aesthetics of this game the face designs really are a pretty big problem. Every single woman just looks exactly the same and it's making quite a few of them - especially Anna and Corrin - look wildly off-model. |

No that’s what happens when you either have an artist whose art style evolves or devolves over time or you simply get a different artist doing designs for an already established design. This isn’t a unique thing.
Guess Shadows Of Valentia didn’t happen either. |

I feel like Fates catches entirely too much flak. It's not a perfect game, and narratively it's pretty much a total mess, but I feel like it does have some unique ideas and very tight map design behind it and while it has way too big of a cast (and many of them are very undeveloped) I think there are some solid standouts among it.
I do think it suffers from kind of simultaneously trying to ape Awakening too much while also trying to change things for the sake of changing them, and most of what it was attempting to do Three Houses did better, but I do feel like it's still largely pretty solid if you can look past its story problems. |

Also I know people are hung up on the localization (ironic as that is). And then tweaking “certain” elements. And selling three different games.
But it’s 2022 let that go. |

Everyone knows that all Fire Emblem fans actually hate Fire Emblem. 
For real though, despite the flak the game been getting for a tad, I believe most fans are looking forward to it, specially because the map variety looks good. The fanbase is just this tsundere. |
