I can't say I liked Ningen Fushin...but I didn't dislike it either. And perhaps importantly, I am curious enough to see where it goes. If the narrative wants to lean into interpersonal dynamics more than dungeon crawls, I could see writing off this episode as something of a rough start just to get things moving.

It's been a while since I read the manga for Ningen Fushin, but from what I can recall, this beginning in the anime is definetily rushed. I guess they just wanted to create some intrigue by throwing their backstories out of the way without necessarily fully explaining them, but it does create the issue of the episode feeling too bloated.
The visuals also look pretty mediocre, but I am willing to ignore that. All in all, I think the story later on is genuinely great, so I would personally reccomend people to keep watching this one.... well, unless the anime decides to go for some weird change that royally screws it up, I suppose. |

So we kick off with
Mildly irritated tropes will predictably save everyone - What can I say, poorly paced, far to tropey, only adequately animated - but at least it's not another crap Isekai. deffo worth the 3 episode drop test. Princess, witch, yuri tales - I hope it's going to get better, but enjoyed the first Ep. I will be searching out the uncensored version as you can bet CR won't screen it.. Forced gender reassignment - I loved Onimai Manga but the pre-air felt a little too ecchi for my liking and Twitter is going to have a major meltdown over it, at least the studio adapting it should do a good job and Ep.1 follows the manga pretty well - I can't wait. Freezer guy & his crush Watched Ep.1 but premise is pretty naff, and I'd had enough of the snow joke before Ep.1 finished - probably a no from me. Tomo not BL as Tomo is female I've read this too and it should be good, could be 100% cringe if they get the adaptation wrong, but so far it looks good and I'm pretty hopeful it's going to be at least a 4/5 show. Doggie smut woof, woof Waste of time unless you're prepared to wait for the uncensored version or the BD's - dog-sticker censoring everywhere almost as bad as worlds end harem, at least the episodes are short as there's not much plot - apart from the PLOT (which you can't see).. Hi! I am currently en route to see my grandmother for the last time. I will be happy to link my citations when I have a chance, but for the next few days I will be focusing on spending time with my family and keeping up as much as possible with new episodes coming out. Cool Girl, Cold Guy is cute enough. My initial concern is whether it can avoid wearing its own premise too thin. The characters are fine, but I was already getting tired of the surprise blizzard joke by the end of the first episode.

As someone who read the webnovel for Ningen, spoiler[there's definitely a good focus on interpersonal dynamics. Of course, this is going to depend on how well that gets adapted into the anime. Also there's not actually a lot of dungeon crawling.]
Correct, the anime skipped a lot of detail from Nick, Tiana and Zem's backstories (and totally skipped Karan's past). Which is a pity, because the details really do explain some of the disillusionments felt. spoiler[Like Nick's dynamic with his other party members and his relationship with the party leader, whom he considered a father to him.] |

Ningen Fushin is quite generic... but I like it. Honestly, I liked how they told each story of how the party member got betrayed, didn't feel like it was too heavy and got straight to the point. The idol Otaku thing was quite unexpected and I thought it to be amusing. I'll stick around for it.

I watched Ep 1 of The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess this morning and found it fantastic! I love the mix of RPG isekai and villainess story, plus the two heroines are going to be a couple!

Even if that were the case, criticising something just because it can have bad influences in real life is pretentious, to put it mildly. Freedom of expression is important too, and the target of an anime like this is late teens/young adults and not the more easily influenced children anyway. Besides, people should be taught at an early age to distinguish fiction from reality, to interpret statistics, and not to acritically "take sides" before having some sort of proof either way. That said, I watched the anime too and it felt rushed but decently funny. I'll try at least another couple of episodes before deciding if I'll drop it or not. |

Lets face it - the "Slave" & "false assault" trope in Anime is just feels like lazy writing for "plot reasons" rather than being a genuine social comment, and in Ningen Fushin it added nothing to the characters backstory and could have easily been left out and some other reason for him being defrocked could have been used.
And I'm not trying to undermine anyone who may or may not have been affected by this in real life. |

I haven't seen the first episode, but I have read the first volume of the novel, and I'm super confused as to why everyone is describing MagiRevo as some villainess story, which I don't recall being a thing at all. I'm pretty sure it's not in any of the series marketing, either. The Prince is presented as the villain while Euphyllia is a victim. It's not some game world where Euphy was a villain, and reincarnated protagonist Anisphia doesn't see her as one.

Ningen - First episode was ok, but it was a bit too stuffed. While watching I was surprised to see them going through everyone's backstory for so long, trying to squeeze everything in to one episode (guess they just couldn't get in the dragonoid's...). This probably should have been a double length premier.
Zem's backstory felt a bit extreme compared to what we've seen of the rest, not even considering it's just a poor and lazy trope. If they wanted him to fall in to a spiral of debauchery, then I think it would have been better to just have him get involved with a woman his own age secretly, then when she wants him to leave the clergy for her and he refuses, she exposes their affair hoping to force his hand and he gets banished. At least then it's partially his fault for going against his vows and giving in to his future vices. |
