Almost all of the music was removed and replaced in the English dub.

Some interesting production context:

All four scripts are by Tomioka Atsuhiro, the head writer of Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl. Asada Yuuji was the series director (kantoku), storyboard artist and episode director of all four episodes of this special and was also one of two series directors for Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl Episodes #171-193 (Sutou Norihiko was the series director for all of DP). Animation Director Iwane Masaaki provided the key animation for the entire special, as well. Iwane is typically known for not only being fast enough to regularly solo key animate episodes of Pokemon but he is able to do it regularly and very well. All three began their careers with the franchise on Pocket Monsters (1997-2002) Episode #3, although at the time Iwane was simply providing key animation for the Studio Cockpit team led by Animation Director Tamagawa Akihiro. Since 1998 Iwane has solo key animated 114 episodes for the franchise and in between those episodes he is often providing key animation for other teams in the animation rotation, providing key animation for the films, the Opening and Ending animation and other specials and commercials.

I have compiled a list of the individual episodes that Tomioka, Asada and Iwane have worked together on. These three are the leaders of this franchise and it's a crying shame that the English-speaking world isn't more aware of this. They've not only overseen the most episodes but also they have handled the majority of the most important episodes of the franchise. Hell, the production bent over backwards in 2010 so that Asada and Iwane could both oversee five of the last 23 episodes of Diamond & Pearl personally. This special is like a coming home part for these three in large part because Diamond & Pearl is where they all ascended as truly being the leaders of the animated franchise in their dedication to working on as many of the major episodes and story arcs as possible.

It was a terrible continuation for Galactic, you could have swapped them out for any other team and basically nothing would have to change. Nothing about their story is progressed in any way from the end of DP, and in fact by just pretending Charon doesn't exist they regressed to a bland simplicity fitting for a small inconsequential storyline. Which is basically Journeys MO when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Which makes me wonder why the reviewer gave such a good score for he music? Probably should have been given a C or D.

They liked the dub music just fine I guess!

I will say that it was a little awkward hearing Lisa Ortiz as Mars, considering that I watched the special in the middle of rewatching Pokémon: Journeys, where she plays a recurring character there.

Korrina you mean?
