Are they out of their mind with their $45k NYC salary!!?? On top of being triple taxed!!?? You can make that much just being a fast food worker on top of city/state welfare services in NYC.

They would only get lucky if it is a WFH position.

They're following the Japanese system of starving animators.

45k to live in New York? For a job that can be completely remote? HAHAHAHAHA.

Nah.

*cue complaints from employers that no one wants to work anymore*

What's sad is this is actually excellent pay as far as editing work goes (well, at least in my experience)... v__v But yeah, living in New York isn't cheap, I'm sure.

Yeah, it’s actually good pay for an entry-level position, with room to grow (you can get promoted to editor and then to senior editor). It also doesn’t say you need to live in NYC, just commute there. Lots of people commute from New Jersey, Connecticut, upstate NY, etc. Might be good for young college graduates who are still living with their parents. They can slowly save up money to live on their own.

I was interested until I saw the NYC requirement. These jobs can and often are remote, it's ridiculous to pay that much and require you to move to one of the most expensive cities in the country.
