I’m shocked they referenced the Super Show, since I figured it was in the same pile of items Nintendo refused to discuss like the Virtual Boy. But not only is the rap there (admittedly fitting the low cost local ad theme), they even got the original VA for Princess Toadstool on the Super Show to be in the spot as well.

My 8-year old self went GA GA when I heard the first stanza of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show theme in this ad. Very Happy Absolute brilliance and it now makes me want to see the movie more than ever now!

Not entirely. Nintendo did poke fun at the Virtual Boy in Luigi's Mansion 3. Plus, the VA for Princess Toadstool from the Super Show is Jeannie Elias. Wink

Also in Nintendo Badge arcade for the 3DS you can win a Virtual Boy Badges specifically of the headset and controller.
