I haven't read the manga adaption of A Raven for All Seasons, but the source novel was a beautifully nasty riff on a classic shojo plot, and the subsequent novels managed to extend the story through the lens of an entirely different genre each time.

The point-based system was strike 1, the weird censorship was strike 2 (I know, iOS store rules, which is why so many services with apps like HiDive just make you go to a web browser), and not having Hajime no Ippo? Well, that tears it.

Does anyone see the limited library, points-based system, and censorship due to a lack of a web browser option to circumvent the iOS store being successful?

Viz media really nailed it with how they did their subscription app, if Kmanga and MangaUP were like Viz’s app I would have no problem subscribing to either.

WHAT?! Beast Player Elin's manga adaptation is gonna be on this?! I wanna read it sooooooo bad!! But I really don't like K Manga's whole points system. I hope Kodansha prints it, or even puts it out digitally on other outlets like Amazon!

This is the worst possible monkey's paw for the fantastic Baby Steps to get an official release. Guess I'm stuck praying for physicals.

The web version is going to have the same censored version too, so that's not even an alternative.

While I'm legitimately stoked that Baby Steps has finally gotten an official English release, I'm always hesitant to invest in these manga "streaming" services because what happens when the service goes down? Like, I know there's slim chance Baby Steps will ever get a physical release, but can't they at least release it digitally on other online storefronts?

That sounds very intriguing. I'm guessing you read the novels in Japanese? (Searching online, it doesn't seem an English translation has released.)

Who made the decision to not include Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura as a launch title? Especially Cardcaptor Sakura with the Clear Card manga ending soon but there's no way to read the simulpub chapters anymore because Kodansha pulled the series everywhere else.

Has anyone checked the manga adaptation of The Beast Player by Nahoko Uehashi and Itoe Takemoto?
