So excited for this. FMP is one of the best action romances in the medium. Hopefully we get a western release, J Novel Club has done a great job translating the novels.

Wow. I finished the original novels recently. Kinda looking forward to this.
I hope it'll be the kind of story that still have mechs.

Was more hoping an anime adapting the remainder of the light novels would get adapted. A bit of a headscratcher why they chose to do Invisible Victory years ago over a decade after Second Raid and then just stop with adapting the remainder of it.

I feel like it was just unfortunate timing. The studio making it went bankrupt right after making it. It also just missed out on the "everything gets a sequel" craze were currently in.

That puts things into perspective. I wasn't aware until just now that it was Xebec that did the animation for Invisible Victory when you made mention of it. Quite disappointing too, as the season got quite engaging and was thinking at the time that a final season was in the cards since the 2000s light novels were concluded. But sadly, Xebec went bankrupt and no other studio took the opportunity to wrap things up.

I literally finished reading the original light novel series yesterday! What are the chances?!

If this sequel gets an English translation, I would be happy to read it!

It seemed apparent that invisible victory was struggling when they used the season 1 soundtrack in its entirety and nothing else for its music.

Chidori with that adult glow-up.

I still hope to see the series concluded in anime form...

Same. Well, it’s clear there’s still interest in the franchise.

it wasn't really bankrupt more like it was sold to Sunrise and became Sunrise Beyond

Production I.G had the choice to continue from them since they were owned by them but probably didn't see it profitable for them and preferred to focus on fanfer in azure.

Volumes 10-12. Invisible Victory had adapted Volumes 7-9 of the light novels.
