Yep, it's Kirby. Probably pumped up because of the Return to Dream Land Deluxe release.

I have never rushed a creator before, but this is an exception. When I caught up to Danmachi late last year (the weak movie, season 2 and 3), I decided to look up how many volumes were left to adapt considering Season 2 in 2019 came 4 years after Season 1.

What I found was very perplexing. The release schedule was great (4 volumes in 2013) to good (at least 2 to at most 3) from 2013 to 2016 (Season 3 ends at volume 11) then it got weird starting in 2017 with starting volume 12. Omori had 1 release that year. 2018 went back to his minimum of 2. Then 2019, 2020, 2021 had 1 release each.

It wasn't until January 2023 that the next volume, 18, released. I had to do the research on why this happened. Aside from writers block (it happens so normally I excuse it if the creator is only focusing on the story), this guy was working on other things outside from the main story: Sword Oratoria (which has 14 volumes as of March 2023), the mobile game, the movie, a new manga in 2020, and whatever else there is.

This guy had enough time before the anime caught up. Season 2 adapted volume 6-8, Season 3 adapted 9-11, and Season 4 as a whole adapted 12-15. I don't know the story contents of 16-18 (and obviously season 4), but the math says the Danmachi anime is done (even if Season 5 happens). Had he kept it at 2 volumes per year and didn't miss a year, it would have helped. After I finished Season 3, I said to myself that DanMachi looks like its going to be at minimum a 40 volume epic rather than the typical less than 30 volume LN series.

As the numbers show, the people want DanMachi. It was the #1 selling LN of 2015 and consistently does good each year. I want more DanMachi main story anime so stop everything else and hurry up.

It seems 'The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten' got the biggest boost out of its anime ticket in last season, at least in the LN side of things - everyone's after that pure saccharine goodness lol. Well I can't point fingers because I ended up getting them myself, it's a suprisingly healing read after a long day of work.

Acting like SO and the Familia Chronicles novels aren't part of the series is a pretty major mistake. They're essential! (Some of the game arc adaptions and short story collections he's putting out as part of the current year of monthly releases are another question.)

It's also worth accounting for page length. Very few of his novels are in the standard ~300 page length, and quite a few are well over 600. His total output is on the high end for a light novel author.

The LN of Angel Next door was the first manga/ novel I ever bought. I always thought that novels weren’t for me, but I really enjoyed this serie. Hope it will get a second season, otherwise it will be a big waste.

Angel Next Door is already in the best-selling LN tier. Before the anime aired most volumes already sold above 30k. The anime caused an increase sales of 40k per volume average. So the average sales per volume should be above 70k now, and Vol 1 is probably close to 100k now. In addition this is just physical book sales. If this was 10 years ago when people rarely bought digital books, the physical book sales would have reached 100k per volume.
