I guess it just really depends on your sense of humor because I actually found the characters, their antics, and the humor pretty funny and amusing, especially with how outright insane it's getting.

I once again find myself in awe of the reviewer's dedication in the face of such dross.

In their position I would have simply resorted to pasting "This is shit" 100 times as my review.

I actually don’t think this show is that bad I’ve been enjoying it (minus the horrendous cgi) it’s definitely not anime of the season material but it’s a fun show to pass the time.

Oh one of my favorite shows of this season is being reviewed... well shit, the reviewer didn't like it. Such is the fate of comedy shows...it's going to be a tough 12 weeks for the reviewer I guess xD.

I feel like this show has more going for it than, say, the Fruit of Evolution.

I have no desire to watch all of this anime, so my opinion probably doesn't matter much, but I agree about the anime's pacing. Watching just a few clips gave me whiplash from how fast it goes, because this series has the pacing of a hummingbird on caffeine. Even the (presumably) intentionally serious scenes seem to move too quickly, which makes me confused about whether it's trying to be a serious story with comedic moments or a parody with some serious moments.

Watched episode 3. If this show isn't my favorite of the season, it's pretty close.

This is one of those "bad but in a fascinating way" kind of shows. I cannot look away. Also it's made me burst out laughing multiple times, both deliberately and not, so I can't bring myself to hate it too much.

I'm starting to realize all the off-putting animation bits were probably 100% intentional on the creators' parts.

I didn't expect Roy to become such a shameless pervert.

So I guess "they" is the proper way to refer to Bertrand now? I mean, I guess Bertrand probably still thinks like a man even though the cast treat them like a woman. I wonder what that means for Loki.

I too am here to rubberneck at this wreck of a show, and Episode 4 was no exception to this. There were points where it almost flirted with competence. Hell, it almost pulled off a decent joke when the spoiler[other gods Mitama summoned retreated just before the battle could begin]...emphasis on "almost." As Nick has mentioned before, this show is defeated at every turn by its almost random direction, terrible storyboarding, and jokes that are more like anti-humor than anything else.

Mostly I'm just baffled as to how this no-name staff and studio managed to score so many notable voice actors for this shart of a show. If you told me that most of this show's budget went towards the voice cast and the crew were left with only $20 and a conbini sandwich, I'd believe you. Even then, they can't do anything with this D-list source material. Just total pearls before swine.

So for once an isekai show realize that "hey, people from the real world being reincarnated into medieval world essentially have advanced knowledge of the future and could introduce it to the world to both their own and the people benefit"... and it's a dumbster fire show? The isekai genre is just cursed by the god of mediocrity.

The reviews of this show is exactly what I expected to come, shame. Being cynical is the "it" thing nowadays...

A lot of isekai shows that are not obsessed with magic fights do that. To name a few Bookworm, Spirit Chronicles (Japan arc farming techniques and food), Log Horizon (applying real world designs to that worlds logic, including steam engines), That farm isekai where his power turns into any farming tool, Realist Hero (crop rotation, waste management, governence, social services) and every single one of those isekai where the hero wows his companions with how soy sauce is superior to all the bland tastes they had previously.

It is often comical how every day common folks would even be capable of designing such intricate and complicated things we have in the modern world but that normally gets passed over. Or magic'd away.

Now onto the series. I dropped the show after episode one for how cultish and inhuman all the characters acted. With characters having little regard for each other and value for anything. How is the character work now at episode 4.
