Hmm, will they get English voices for this game? If they do, they better not suck like the SnSII voices.

Where on earth is the 360 version? They may as well localize it at the same time and get more of a profit.

This is a bad move, since this is the beginning of the 360's reign as the next host to popular Dreamcast-style shooting games what with Senko no Ronde, Ikaruga, Trigger Heart Excelica and Omega Five.

Shikigami no Shiro is one game I've been hoping for, and I'm disappointed that it's only going to be coming to the Wii, a console which I don't personally feel like supporting with my money. I'd put the blame on Nintendo, mostly, for making their system too cheap and attractive for newer developers like Aksys.

Besides, who's gonna be playing this on Wii? Certainly not all the Wii Play afficionados that are making it top the charts. Hell, even if it were on the 360 it may not sell as well despite the audience being more "hardcore" specific. Those "crazy Japanese games" come few and far between and don't have a niche on any console just yet, but like I was saying, in Japan they're landing on the 360, so we may as well bring the market over here correctly.

According to IGN there will be a 360 version, however, there is no expected release date as of yet. Anyways, I think it makes plenty of sense to have this on the Wii. I mean, in Japan the Ps2 is still outselling the 360, so I don't think there's any rush to format the game for a console that really isn't very popular. Making it for the Wii is sensible since it also is selling very well in the US; not to say the 360 isn't over here, though.

But the 360 is extremely popular over here, and the 360 version of Shikigami no Shiro III has already been released on the 360 in Japan, in fact I can sign onto the Japanese Xbox Live right now and tell you that there is a TON of Gamer Pictures and stuff in the Shikigami no Shiro III section of the marketplace.

One would think that if you go through the trouble of translating it on the Wii, you can just change the same text in the other version and now you have TWO demographics to sell your game to.

There must be some deeper issue, like Aksys doesn't have the budget to hire a dedicated 360 developer or to get an SDK or something, which seems like a rather silly excuse given how easy it should be (in theory) to change text in a game when you already have a complete, functioning translation for it.

I'm just hoping the team translating this isn't the same group of idiots responsible for "Mobile Light Force 2" and Castle Shikigami II.

It wouldn't sell on the 360 since all the 360 crowd wants to play are first person shooters with high def graphics.

The Wii crowd really doesn't care that much about graphics and can appreciate a game like this for it's stellar gameplay.

I will certainly be getting this.

That's utter bulls***. The Wii crowd is full of casual gamers playing Wii Play. If anything, the confusing nature of a danmaku title would turn them off.

You seem to not realize that the Xbox and the 360 have much different audiences; obscure Japanese titles such as Culdcept Saga (the original Culdcept was: guess what? A PS2 title) and Operation Darkness are landing on the 360; they're not graphically powerful, either. Your statement COULD be justifiable last generation, but it really doesn't stand anymore.

In addition, as far as graphics go, most danmaku games have really amazing graphics anyway, due to the patterns of bullets (like Touhou Project's spell cards) and screen-filling attacks; one can only imagine how different a danmaku game looks in HD...

The 360 already has Senko no Ronde due to Ubisoft, so people have already been introduced to the genre a bit, and AGAIN, the 360 is becoming the mecca for danmaku titles in Japan after the end of the Dreamcast, with titles like Ikaruga, Trigger Heart Excelica and Omega Five hitting the Live Arcade. It makes no sense to keep this trend Japan-only, considering the likelihood that other titles will come here (Omega Five is confirmed, and Ikaruga is almost definitive.)

Wii has a lot more on the virtual console than Xbox 360 has on the Live Arcade..........so yeah..........you are wrong.
