Man I am a total mark for this movie as one of those guys who saw the show as a kid, and I stick up for a lot of dubs that don't deserve it, but I had forgotten just how grating Veemon's voice was. I mean, good for Derek Prince, get that cheddar, son, but still... damn.

He meant content wise. For a franchise that has always avoided showing blood as much as they can, this movie has some of the bloodiest and most disturbing moments in a few scenes.

Without spoiling plot events, the movie features brutal content, including a kid getting beaten with actual bruises by his abusive mother, a digimon possibly killing people, and a character's eye being gouged out. Like, heck. I found myself squirming in my seat.

I think that's overselling it a bit. Digimon has shown blood and had death and violent scenes before.
