At least that puts to rest those Satoshi Kon rumours. Thanks for the info.

Seems that, unlike the Animatrix project, they've given up on big names in the directors' department for this one. The rumor about Kon always sounded weird to me, but it would have been cool to see Kawajiri or Watanabe do a Batman story.

Still, the trailer looked pretty cool.

Just because the animator/director worked on CLAMP style, it doesn't mean his or her next project will be look like CLAMP style animation. Unlike most of us, these people are veteran professional artists who can tackle any style and finish it by given deadline.
All artists have unique style of their own. Come on, let's not assume that they're bound by one particular style.

I'm aware that Morioka is in no way directly related to CLAMP nor will his version of Batman look anything like the CLAMP style. It was just the first thing it made me imagine since it directly credits him for Tsubasa above anything else. In other words, it was meant to be funny, so lighten up a little. Wink

That's interesting. I thought the animation was all the Japanese were going to be doing.

Great news. I'm not very familiar with their works but I know a thing or two, so they seem quite good.

Can't wait till Batmanime. Smile

It sounds almost like this is actually the list of animation directors and not of overall directors.

It's great to know that this will be releasing on blu-ray! And that the blu-ray versions will also include a set that has the special edition bonus content! Hope this gets advertised a lot, and by the sound of it it looks like it will... though the question remains... is this coming out prior to the film or sometime after? Hopefully before!

Funny. I was just looking at my AniMatrix DVD just yesterday and wondering why they didn't announce specific directors for this one yet.
