This is good news, I love this series. Hopefully its doing well enough here for funimation to port it over.

FYI: this is an OVA (read: short) series similar to Ichigakki Hoshū, probably just two episodes as well. The "third School Rumble anime series" line could be misleading.
I'd assume (and hope) that stories for the third semester are original, for comedic elements of its manga counterpart are getting really old.

Very cool! I hope there is a similar announcement for the US versions of the manga to have the DVDs incuded too! That would be AWESOME!

One word: FINALLY!!!
I mean this is probably the most hilarius anime I've watched in a long time from start to finish, so is awesome news that we are getting another season I just hope this one reaches till the point where the manga currently is. First ADV anounces their delayed releases and now this news, today is turning out to be a fine day!!

Cool. School Rumble Term 2 is one of those few sequels that is better than the original. Usually I'm glad when a series ends before it gets boring, but I really think a term 3 could kick ass!

Funi isn't actually releasing season 2 yet though, just licensed, right? They need to finish first things first.
Hopefully it comes through as bonus material in the season 2 set (if they actually make the switch to primarily sets only,) rather than an extra disc ... and maybe even all BD while I'm dreaming. |
