Wow, how unpopular is Naruto Shippuden to be dead last on the rankings?

This list obviously doesn't include all of the shows currently airing this season, only the top ten in ratings.

I don't know if you would technically consider that "dead last" since it only ranks the top ten. Though I'm sure there's a score of anime after Shippuden.

That list doesn't show the late night anime either.

I'd be happy being in the top 10.

Yes only 10 anime shows air each week! *facepalm*

Than again this guy did call Shigofumi and True Tears moe shows so I guess this type of comment is about normal for him.

On Monday, March 3, 2008, Yatterman and Detective Conan reportedly each scored a TV rating of 10.0% in the Kantou region of Japan.

Apparently, foghorn voice Akiko Wada this week outdrew the busty Kano sisters last week.

How interesting that Naruto:Shippuden makes it's way back onto this list a couple episodes before Sasuke's big comeback... Rolling Eyes

Thats what I thought. I've never know another series we're the titular character is so behind in popularity to his supposed "second fiddle".

^ Wrong, Shippuden would be lucky to have been in the top ten for half of the episodes shown for it so far. Maybe 35-40% of it's episodes have been in the top ten... It's recently started to return to the top ten a lot more in the last ten weeks but for a long period of time it was avg 4-5% as opposed to the 5-7% it has been lately. Naruto and Bleach have picked up about 1-2% ratings points this Winter season compared to the last couple of seasons for some reason. Bleach was in the 3s now it's in the 4s...

Really? Confused Because I could swear I've been seeing it in the top 10 WAY more frequently than that....... Still though, my point is really that it's been in the top 10 before It started putting Sasuke in more. My guess is that it's been getting better ratings lately because ever since we got out of the gruelingly slow 32 episodes based on 4 volumes it's been much, much better. And even then I can't help but think I've seen it in the top 10 even durring a few of those episodes.

About a year ago, these were the ratings.

March 12-18, 2007

1. Sazae-chan (19.3)
2. Chibi Maruko-chan (13.4)
3. Crayon Shin-chan (11.6)
4. Detective Conan (10.0)
5. Doraemon (9.5)
6. One Piece (8.0)
7. Kekkashi (7.5)
8. Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl (7.5)
9. Yes! PreCure 5 (7.3)
10. Naruto Shippuden (6.0)

And even much earlier...

October 23-29, 2006

1. Sazae-chan (19.8)
2. Chibi Maruko-chan (12.9)
3. Crayon Shin-chan (11.3)
4. Doraemon (11.2)
5. Detective Conan (9.0)
6. Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl (7.2)
7. Kekkashi (6.5)
8. Pretty Cure Splash Star (6.4)
9. One Piece (6.4)
10. Digimon Savers (4.9)

The anime ratings in the Japan hadn't changed too much. ^^;

Here's a question I'd like to ask:

Where's your God (Haruhi) now? Razz

midori kou: It's amazing when you think about a good half of those shows have 10+ seasons behind them (Sazae-san has 30). Some things definetly don't change in Japan, but they know how to appeal to each new generation.

Um, Bleach? Poor Ichigo ranked as third on the latest popularity poll, with Hitsugaya (who's not even a "second fiddle") the first and Rukia the second - and the poll was conducted sometime around the second Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight when he was actually pretty cool. Ever since that fight ended he hasn't done or even appeared much, except for one panel cameos spoiler[right until the latest chapter.]
