Not to be rude, but is this news? We've basically already established that most if not all "actual" manga titles will continue from Tokyopop (albeit at a slower rate), while "world" manga is being pushed online. I don't think we need a play-by-play in the headlines, unless it changes up the formula (like, next Bizenghast confirmed to be published, Gakuen Alice goes online or gets canceled).

This hasn't been established at all. The only manga we have heard about is the world manga titles, so we had no idea what exactly was planned for the Japanese series. I would be surprised if all of these latter group continue unscathed, especially any with poor sales.

I'm sad that they didn't get Kamichama Karin Chu. Oh well. I wonder if they'll continue D.N.Angel now that more manga chapters are being made?

In all honesty, I am glad Tokyo Pop is still publishing manga, rather than either firing more people, canceling more series or even worse shutting down.

At least this series is able to be published via online. Beats just being cancelled all together.

I'm happy that Tokyopop will continue Gakuen Alice. And yes, whether it's a manga or OEL, fans of those series are still awaiting news regarding their future status.

And I've read somewhere else that D.N.Angel vol.12 is being released in Japan this month. Now I'm just waiting on word for that series along with V.B. Rose, Kingdom Hearts II, Aria, and the Vampire Kisses OEL

I don't think you need to worry too much about Kingdom Hearts II or Aria. TokyoPop would have to be absolutely retarded to cut those.

Nice to hear about Gakuen Alice but I really would like to know what they plan for Twelve Kingdoms.

I agree, I doubt that TP would, but I would like to know what they are or aren't going to publish.

I think they intend to keep publishing D.N.Angel (I think there may have even been a news release around here somewhere) and this was a really popular series, TP would be shooting themselves in the foot to not continue (and I bet that they still have the english or american rights for publishing as well).

That said, I'm glad to hear that they will be continuing Gakuen Alice, but I'm not too surprised considering all the hype they put out for it's release.

This is good to hear about Gakuen Alice, though the Tokyopop series I am truly worried about is Suppli. I can't imagine that a josei title targeted to an older audience is selling superbly well. I really hope Tokyopop continues the series, since as a young woman in her 20s, I can relate to a lot of issues portrayed in Suppli. There are already so few josei titles available in the States, and it'd be sad to lose one.

If you don't like it, don't read it.
