Death Note was a fun and interesting story for the time it was around. But at this point I am just ready for it to die already.

I get the feeling that all the emo kids will keep that from happening. Though I did enjoy Death Note my self. I do want to see the movies and specials though since I liked Death Note. I just don't like it to the point where I try to make my own Death Note.

It would be nice if this second special included a new epilogue based on the manga's final chapter. I was disappointed when the last episode of the TV series didn't show that discussion between Matsuda and Ide.

I think these specials are good (and if ever released here) if someone is interested in wanting to watch the show, but wanting to know the basic points of what's going on rather than sit through all those episodes. It gives a good overview.

I hope this one shows more new stuff than the first one did. And maybe more about that new Shinigami.

Its just more of the same to keep the fans talking, and to keep this franchise alive.

While that may be true, I tend to think of these like I think of the Gundam Movies, which is simply a wide-screen abridged version of the show.

I think I like the fact there are some back stories around supporting characters.

Death Note is being milked for what it's worth, but I don't really care, I've seen specials for tons of anime, so it's not like this is any different. I'll only be surprised if they end up making a musical.

Can we please stop using the word "emo" for the rest of the history of man?

I really hope this special includes that final chapter from the manga. To see Near as the new L and Roger as the new Watari would be great in animation. Maybe even that one-shot.

I agree, people use the word emo for anything now, so annoying.

Even though i know theres really no point to making it and the reason is only for money. im actually excited. but i dont understand why they have to make specials when they could have just put them in the series in the first place. was there some reason they didn't just put them into the series or make them episodes rather then coming out with them later on afterwards? and why so long...
and while i havnt read the novel, since they are coming out with another special are they going to make a special of that too sometime in the future?
i dont really know how this whole 'special' thing works which is why im asking. plus i think the novel was written by someone totally different and having nothing to do with the original people/person so would they even be able to do one?

Haha, ok. How about the dark ones? The reason I say that though is just because of school. THe reason I said emo was just because the people that would be put in that demographic at my school were in love with Death Note.

If this has some never-seen scenes, then I am really excited. Unlike many people, I absolutely loved the second half of the story, but I do think that the manga explained the arc with much more detail. So I do hope that they add a few extra scenes (like they did with the first Director's Cut). Also, it will be exciting seeing L and Watari again. Very Happy

All Viz needs to do is get it, because people would want it.

At least I would.
