Finally!
I stopped halfway through the Japanese version a couple years ago. It was interesting, but hard reading. Too many specialized words that weren't in the Japanese-Englsih or even Japanese-Japanese dictionary. |

Whoa, cool. I didn't know this was based on a novel. Anyway, I bought this on BD awhile back and thoroughly enjoyed the story, and very trippy visuals.
Maybe I'll pick up the book to see how they compare, and to find out what is different between each medium. |

I just finished reading the first chapter that has been translated.
It didn't translate well at all unfortunately. I am still going to read the first 7 chapters all the way through but chapter 1 wasn't impressive

Seems like the translation resulted in a lot of choppy sentences that just remove any type of flow from the story. Hopefully it gets better than the snippet I read, but this is one of the few books I've wanted to read after seeing a movie adaptation of it. What the Maid Saw sounds like a pretty good read as well.
