They may not be dubbed in English, but they certainly are subbed in English.

I didn't know that ADV still had a TV channel in their current state. Hopefully it's doing more to help them economically than hurt them. In either case, there's no way that I'll end up with any kind of anime channel since all I get is basic cable.

I didn't know Anime Network was still running either. But I've never had anything more than cable, so that's not surprising.

This is an interesting move though. Aria and Maria, aside from being gently paced, niche-y titles, are Japanese-only. So are they trying to introduce the average viewing audience into Japanese audio or trying to bring in the audience that refuses to watch AN because it's all been in English (I presume)? Maybe a little of both, with a bit of air-some-new-shows-for-cheap. But given ADV's financial troubles I wouldn't be surprised if they were testing the waters for more sub-only releases.

Toward the Terra (2007) anime series was really good, but if they're only going to release that old movie from 1980..... that's just wrong. -_-

I'm glad that they're adding more shows, but how about actually getting with the program and releasing the episodes of New Cutie Honey on some sort of visible schedule? I'm a little sick of JUST episode one hanging around.

Hopefully this means Aria and Maria Watches Over Us will also be on Anime Network on Demand, because I really want to watch these series (especially Maria, since I do have an interest in wanting to buy it, but want to preview it first).

I take it my best bet for being in an area with a cable provider that has these stations would be for me to move to Texas, huh?

That is the thing about these channels, unless you already know about them, and live in the area, and feel like paying ontop of cable, you're not going to be able to get them. They in no way help the fandom extent out, they just provide content to people already well informed and inside the fandom. Unless more shows go on cable networks, there's just not much to celebrate here.

I thought the Anime Network was a video on demand only thing now?

Also, Ouran has already premiered. It started this past Monday (April 27). It's on at 2 pm, 4 am and 10:30 pm during the week.

How much of Maria-sama are they showing? I would desperately love to see the fourth season. It released after the series was licensed, so I never watched it. Re-watching the others will be nice too, though.

Aquarion and Ouran High School Host Club has already premiered on Monday, along Hunter x Hunter and Buso Renkin.

Plus Black Blood Brothers will debut on Saturday at midnight on the FUNimation Channel.
