Awwww maaaan.

Too bad I won't be there this year, yet again. I want to be The Guy who asks him what he thought about writing the screenplay for the Variable Geo OVA while most of the room scratches their heads and try to remember what that is.

Somebody! Be The Guy in my place! Please?

It only makes too much sense that AX gets a lot of good stuff, being so close to Japan, and especially being closer to LAX than any other venue.

I have this feeling that Mr. Kuroda is tagging along with Director Nishimura to promote Trigun Movie. I read this 5,000 word interview of him from old Animage magazine. When interviewer asked if he watched video of his work, he said he watched Wolfwood death scene from Trigun 70 times,

Man, my respect level for him dropped so dramatically when I found out he was involved with Please Teacher.

Too bad I can't make it to Anime Expo. It would be a great chance to accost him and demand why he is so inconsistent. Trigun was a veritable Masterpiece, and s-CRY-ed was Good Dumb Fun. But many of his shows - including Gundam 00 - are "not to a good standard", if you know what I mean. I say "his shows" because the chief writer is arguably just as important as the director.
