I'm disappointed that there wasn't an announcement about either Leda: the Fantastic Adventure of Yohko or Godmars making it to DVD. It's a shame that so many of those great little titles more than likely won't ever be see again. I'll keep my fingers crossed though, just to be sure.

Ugh. -_- Fan-freaking-tastic. So much for thinking there was nothing I was interested in from the other topic. This had better get a dub. >.< (Who am I kidding?)
Kleckner, I've got more books than the local library. Put your blasted extras on a DVD, drop the stupid ink/print/publishing costs, and just give us a damn dub for once. -_- Sigh. At least this isn't one of my favorite series, but it is one I would have definitely picked up had it been dubbed, like so many others they've done. Thanks for screwing over another property, Right Stuf. |

Typical. If you don't bend over and take whatever the companies want to put out, no matter how much of a glorified fansub it is, you may as well be a war criminal around here.
Hint: There are studio employees on these forums, I've -seen- them. Most people, I'm sure, have seen them. That would imply that at least some are receiving information from this community. As long as I see that, then I'm going to keep expressing distaste at a product that I would have purchased otherwise, because I'll be darned if I shut up and smile just so Funimation and every other studio can start going sub-only. |

Well I look forward to seeing Rental Magica (never seen it but it sounded cool) and I wonder if they'll bring the books over as well. Probably will try Antique Bakery as well, better head over to the library to pick up the manga....

Indeed. Nozomi has done some awesome work recently and I look forward to watching more of Right Stuf/Nozomi shows. Pretty cool news in my opinion though. |

You ever thought that maybe people's problem isn't with your opinion, but the way you express it? You are singlehandedly the most negative person I've seen on this forum. You waste no opportunity to get uppity and pissy whenever something isn't exactly the way you want it, and honestly, it's really irritating. You don't want sub only releases? Fine. But you don't have to sit there and bring out this big song and dance everytime anything related to Rightstuf is mentioned. There are plenty of us here that DO like Rightstuf releases, and you just come wandering in and rain on everyone's parade. Thanks. Tip: Maybe the studio employees would listen to your opinion if you were actually pleasant, instead of snarky all the time. |

Someone doesn't understand that physical extras like huge booklets are a big incentive to buying the DVD release. On-disc features can end up being stupid/inane like art galleries or clean OPs and EDs. Stuff like those booklets aren't things that you can readily download, and they're desirable to some degree. The only thing that can top that is adding figures to the releases.

A good two thirds of this thread is composed of people telling you to STFU and take your tired complaining elsewhere and yet you just keep plugging along. We have a general unspoken rule around here about what we call "single issue posters", people who harp on and on and on and on about one topic over and over again in every thread even tangentially related, and we usually ban them for adding nothing to the forum but a bunch of whiny negative white noise. That's basically what you're doing - everyone knows how you feel about Right Stuf not doing dubs on some of their titles. You continuing to repeat yourself albeit at a higher, whinier, nastier decibel isn't you bravely crusading for anything, it's you not understanding that we get it, shut up about it already. What I think you don't understand is that you've been so ridiculously negative and flat-out annoying about this that whatever message you might have, whatever validity it may or may not have, it's irrelevant because it's coming from you. Whatever 'impact' your incessant screeching may have had has been long rendered impotent. |

Did they say new mini-sets of Astro Boy are gonna be released? I found something similar to that on Amazon, only it was regarding Kimba The White Lion.

I agree. The only on-disc music that I've ever liked were the "music videos" on the BECK DVDs. And as for figures, well, Viz got a whole lot more money out of me on the Death Note DVDs because of the figures. I hope Rightstuf/Nozomi roll out some nice extras if they're only planning on giving us subs. That really would go a long way to compensate us (and squeeze a little more cash out of me, anyway). |

The 100 pg book is just freaking awesome. In fact I think it's really needed to appreciate everything in the show. Rental Magica had tons of cultural and religious references.

Why would they remove a dub they already have? It'd cost money and re-releases tend to do less well than the original releases. They may be cheaper, but this usually indicates a lower profit margin, even with DVDs being 2 cents a pop these days (though I could be wrong). |
