I see something about a FUNimation booth, but no panel. Did I completely overlook it, or should we not be expecting any announcements from them here?

Maybe they used up everything at Anime Expo and Otakon. But that's impossible, because they still haven't given us the English dub cast for Soul Eater. Wink

The Japanese games panel on Thursday is actually not a random fan thing but hosted by Peter Payne who owns Jlist, JAST USA, G collections, Peach princess, etc. He is the leader of eroge in America.

How early should I go to get into the Ponyo screening? 4 PM, maybe?

And do you need a Comic-con ticket to get into the screening? Or do you just need to buy the movie tickets? I want to take some other people with me but they don't have Comic-con tickets

Thank you, I'll fix that up. They should list that in the program guide.

http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_search_results.php?strShow=23&chkCat[]=181

This lists 31 panels someone thinks has something to do with anime & manga. The site has an interesting little tag thing where one can click on the key word to get the list.
I know Tokyo Pop emailed their list people their panels-World of Warcraft (manwha), Women in Manga & Priest.

TP says they have their August releases like DNAngel 12 & events going on all day at their booth

You also missed this on Friday

4:30-5:30 Marvel Animation— The new age of Marvel animation is here! Marvel's president of animation Eric Rollman and general manager of Nicktoons Network Keith Dawkins are joined by the creative minds behind the new hit series Wolverine and the X-Men, and Iron Man: Armored Adventures. Head writers Greg Johnson (WatX), and Chris Yost (IMAA), supervising producer Craig Kyle (WatX, IMAA), voice director Jamie Simone (WatX), and voice of Wolverine Steve Blum discuss each series and what the future holds. Then stay tuned for a first look at Marvel Anime from acclaimed Japanese animation studio Madhouse, featuring Madhouse president Masao Maruyama (Gotham Knight, Tokyo Godfathers), and writer Warren Ellis (The Authority, Astonishing X-Men).

Not to mention the usual 3 rooms showing anime

How much time at that Disney panel do you think they'll devote to Miyazaki? 5 minutes?

If you're going to tell me I missed stuff as though the article is supposed to be a completely exhaustive 100 percent guide to everything even remotely related to anime at the show then maybe you should also scroll to the bottom of the article where I mention this and link to the schedule. Thanks.

Although I will cop to missing that Marvel Animation panel. My bad. We'll have someone covering it though.

Completely agreed. The description for it really doesn't tell us anything and it only just hit twitter today. I remember looking though the guide and thinking "No Payne Zaibatsu? Sad"

I'll try to get into that Ponyo screening but gotta be EARLY huh? There goes all Friday Anime cry

This panel is moderated by comedian and actor Patton Oswalt, which just ups the awesome factor by about 10.

Haven't seen the rat movie, but his hosting of "God Told Me To" was pretty cool.

To be honest, it looks somewhat sparse this year. But none the less, reading what happened at Comic Con will still be interesting.

Though I do wonder what Square Enix will license next though.

THe comment about the anime rooms was actually directed at Feralkat's comment the manga panels seem sparse. Sorry. I know I raised an eyebrow at the WoW panel until I remembered the manwha when I received the TP list of panels. The Geek panel discussion also includes itself as anime & manga

I love Madhouse & really want to see it, but I'm gambling if I make the Viz panel I won't be able to make it to the Marvel panel unless I sneak out because I'm sure the line for Marvel will be huge. It shouldn't be a big deal making the Yen panel after because I don't think Yen Press will be that large.
