No, it isn't. It much, much worse.

I honestly cannot think of a worst way to end a franchise.

The cutscenes in the game are susposedly animated by Studio 4C if a scan from Famitsu was right.

As for why it's on PSP. Well, you got to look at Japan's video game market. The consoles are more or less just dead. It's too costly to develop games for the HD Brothers, and with the Wii it'll likely be a certified bomb. Where as the handhelds top the sales charts, and are less costly to develop for. This is why we've seen Valkyria Chronicles, and Okami jump ship to the PSP and DS respectively.

I just hope Namco Bandai actually brings this one over, but knowing them, I'm not holding my breath.

I think Tatsunoko did the GU game cut scenes but I'm not fully sure on that either. I liked GU but the movie of it sucked the big time.
