At last, somebody's finally thinking about the fictional welfare of the fictional 16-year-olds. It always distresses me to think they're being fictionally abused in some way, and it's good to see real-life government money around the world going towards fictionally rescuing them.

Such a law would be unenforceable and, at most, would lead to doujinshi convention Comiket moving to Kanagawa, Chiba or Saitama, just outside Tokyo limits.

I fail to see the implementation of such a law being achievable considering it would entail the removal of a number of DVD/BR anime series as well as manga series, examples such as Strike Witches and Kodomo no Jikan, the eroge industry would suffer a major hit since a number centre on high school girls and a major discussion would have to take place to draw a line between what is cute and what is sexual?
Oh well, it is not like I live in a country which makes stupid laws and then never effectively implements them.

While I find loli porn distasteful and I think that the people that read them and fap to them are personally disgusting, I think that the governments need to focus on protecting real victims of child sexual abuse. The best that this law will do is bring in fines to fatten government coffers. There is alot of loli porn in japan, so I am sure that a cop just walking down the street in some district will find plenty of people to fine.

i agree, i mean it's not like there are real people getting raped molested or abused, wheather underage or not, but for the govornment to care for the welfare of fictional characters is definitely not stupid for their part. |

Here we freaking go again. From my count, this is the forth try to ban loli. And guess what's going to happen: loli will not be banned. Know why? Not because it's correct, and fair to freedom of speech, not because it harms nobody, but because it makes money. And that's the bottom line. If they stopped making loli goods, then they would lose an income source, and the Japanese government has never been willing to do that. As long as loli makes money, it will be legal.
One more thing: GO SAVE REAL LIVING CHILDREN WHO NEED HELP, YOU IMBECILES!!!!! |

When introducing legislature to outlaw drawn material only accessible online or via imports, lawmakers might only encounter minimal expressions of disapproval from members of the public (as was the case in my country).
When proposing such laws in the country from which such material is both principally produced and exchanged within public stores and conventions, outcry might be a little more visible. Plus, the amount of domestically-hosted digital material for the authorities to deny access to, assuming the bill passes, would presumably be staggering. |
