Perhaps it has to do with licenses and the relationships about them. Probably much easier to get a hold of since anime is more acceptable and its more popular there.

And to think for a second I was all about ready to go to McDonalds and demand Naruto toys. Ewww.
I am both happy and disappointed I won't get the opportunity to be some nut after McDonalds toys. Oh the shame. |

Lol, I kinda expected something like this to happened. DBZ had a line in the happy meals so now is narutos turn. If they had a bleach happy meal or a FMA Happy meal thats where i would call a McDonalds in south america and tell them to mail me a happy meal. But its naruto so i dont care that much
 . I do wonder why it wont release in North america, the fan base is pretty big...
