Could it be? Could they actually be preparing to make an Air Gear anime that STICKS to the manga plotline? I know it's not that likely but a lot of series have been getting revamps and it is popular enough...

I know that this isn't a remake, but I hope they are doing this in preparation of a remake Anime hyper

Never knew Air Gear was still popular...

Del Rey has been flunking lately or something. Almost every manga they publish is being released in a 3-volume set like that... even titles they picked up from Tokyopop like Rave Master. Not sure what's the reason behind that.

Find it sorta weird that we get a random OVA like this for Air Gear, with a whole new staff, a whole new cast... and it's by Satelight and not Toei. Guess we'll see how it goes :S

Jeez. I hope that means they'll still be releasing all of Alive: The Final Evolution.
I couldn't STAND IT if they never completed the series. I love it so much.

As far as this OAD goes, I'm all for it. The fact that it's being done by completely different people than the '06 TV series only bolsters my expectations, since I wasn't all that in love with the animation quality of the original.

Here's hopin' for a knock-out hit!

OMFG I can honestly say I love this Anime and I have been following it for the past 4 years of it's production and 4 years of my life.. I love how they made a 25 episode series and all but it only follows only a tid bit of the manga's actual story like it skips I guess you could say lesser important issues in the manga... i want them to actually either remake the entire thing. like an OVA.. or keep going like how they are and really only doing specific episodes to make the season 2 of this anime. I did some web searching and found out that in fact they are making an OVA but it's only gonna be like one episode where The main character Ikki battles his long time friend and leader of sleeping Forrest Ringo. So I'm still search to find out more if they are gonna maybe do more after this too,, not really sure though but if anyone that reads this or likes AIR GEAR and has any more to say let me know please I'm dieing in suspense waiting here
