Not much to say on the rankings (I guess I helped with the sales of the first two), but the for the several hundred unfortunates who bought that Blue Seed box, my condolences. Even though it was done on film, it didn't get a new telecine, so it's just an upscale, but then they slathered it is the strongest noise reduction I've ever seen. It may well be the gold standard for ugliest blu-ray ever. The "evidence" is online in the usual places, but here's a link to a screenshot of the horror. Behold true HD:

Funny, I actually came in to post about Blue Seed. I saw this and was like, "Wow, Blue Seed made it to Blue Ray, huh? Tee-hee" Went over to Play-Asia and saw the price. Ugh, no way, it's not worth it at over 300$ And seeing that about the picture quality is even more of a turnoff. A shame really.
