Well, the difference from #57 sales to #59 sales were about 160k.

So maybe we're not too far off from seeing 2 million sold in the first week.

Because this author inspired Oda to write, it is an honor and pleasure to say: it's over 9000!

This is the type of anime news I want to hear now and days. Positive news about a masterpiece series. One of these days, I will finish the anime (Funimation really knows what they are doing, like with Shin Chan), but the manga comes first. Because it's being done with a don.

Actually, I can see this going on like other long running anime like Conan and Doraemon as long as nothing extreme happens over time.

Well it's not surprising this one is doing so well... as it's the volume where spoiler[Ace and Whitebeard dies...] Crying or Very sad

I just made myself sad.

I thought no one was spoiler[supposed to die] in One Piece.

I'm expecting this to be the ceiling for the moment. This is the big conclusion to a saga that has been going on for YEARS in the series. The next volume will be full of flashback and transitional type chapters. The volume after might be similar too.

Not that I expect the numbers to go down by much, I just don't really expect them to beat out 59.

Actually I am basing that off an article I read years ago via a internet website. It's been some time, so even if I really wanted to, I don't remember the name of the source at all.

Though I will say, if any series is going to come close to being the ultimate masterpiece Dragon Ball Z was, it's One Piece. Others have tried, but sooner or later, fell short in some way. I'll tell you, I will miss reading/watching One Piece once it concludes.

Just like Dr. Slump, Dragon Ball Z and Toradora, all fantastic shows, but all one of the kind shows as well. Though to be frank, I just hope that day doesn't happen any time soon.
