It's actually rather interesting given the release dates this time. They're only a couple months away, meaning these titles have been "licensed" for a while to have been in the production schedule to warrant releasing them so close to the time they are listed. This suggests to me that DMP held back the solicitation of these titles from Amazon for a much longer period of time than they have in the past (where new license announcements have gotten leaked in the past). They're playing their licenses closer to the vest. Possibly in an attempt not to get anyone's expectations up about when titles really will come out. In the past the initial release date was speculative or arbitrary because the distributors required them for solicitation, and were often way, way off from when DMP actually got them into the schedule to be produced. We'll know for sure in a few months if/when these titles come out anywhere near their "scheduled" release date.

Actually, these have been up on Amazon for awhle. ANN is just a little late with the news. DMP's Amazon solicitations go out as far as February.

damn.
I thought I ordered Honey/Chocolate, but it looks like I ordered a different one (no pancakes. This is confusing! How are we to keep track of out smut!)
I need to add it to my bin.
Intriguing secrets I've had on order for about a year & it's been rescheduled a time or 2. Not as bad as In the Walnut or Kurashima Sensei.
No one Loves Me I ordered in August with the Nanao Okuda Honey/Chocolate
I would love to know how they decide to release these things-why some titles get out on schedule while others get delayed for a year or so. (Waiting for Kabuki 3 since June 2009...It's a cute series. In the Walnut was really good but we waited so long).

Yeah, I thought some of these sounded familiar. No One Loves Me, A Place in the Sun, and Intriguing Secrets have been in my Amazon wishlist for quite a while now.

And the waiting now extends to In the Walnut vol. 2. Crying or Very sad

But I agree, it's pretty disappointing lately how regularly these release dates end up being ridiculously inaccurate. I preordered Maiden Rose (release date 9/14) back on 7/16 and now Amazon is telling me it's "only available from third party sellers." Will someone tell me the point of preordering if I'm not assured a copy of the book!? Another example: Deeply Loving a Maniac, release date 9/14, preordered on 5/22. Yet it's "temporarily out of stock." What, ordering 7 months ahead of time didn't bag me a copy? (That's assuming they ever indeed had copies to begin with-- though if they didn't I would expect a "not yet released" status, not "OOS.") Did that many people have preorders that it wiped them out? I'm starting not to want to preorder anything because I hate having all these open orders in my account; yet I'm afraid if I don't preorder I won't be assured a copy (though, judging by the above examples, my logic is flawed anyway).

*ahem*

Well, sorry about the rant and thanks for listening. I'm sure most of you have your own stories in this regard.
