Oh I think I remember hearing something about the 'King of Thorn'. Maybe I saw the image from somewhere before. But good to know that 'Mai Mai' and 'Oblivion' are getting attention. I hope that someone will acquire the rights at some point.

I was fortunate enough to see Mai Mai Miracle and King of Thorn in theaters in Montreal, back in May, and both movies were a very pleasant surprise to me. Especially King of Thorn, which I assume will be licensed at some point in 2011.

Saw Oblivion Island, I want to see both King of Thorn and Mai Mai, especially King of Thorn ever since one of the old trailers, I hope you're right.
Oblivion Island was awesome I really liked that one a lot and they did a great job as it's hard to believe it was I.G's first CG film as it was really gorgeous and beautifully animated, I really hope that gets licensed very soon with a really good dub, great fun family-style film. Edit: Oops...forgot the question. Was King of Thorn like the trailers? The tone, mystery, scifi, etc looked good in the trailers. |
