I had this preordered from Fry's BOGO sale, but canceled due to some bad word-of-mouth about their shipping/customer service. I am, however, still going to get this, but I'll wait until Black Friday. It certainly does sound awesome.

Saw part of the dub already, it's pretty good. I wasn't sure if I would like Shelley Calen-Black as Cannan, but she actually fits the role quite nicely. Hillary Haag is an EXCELLENT Maria Oosawa. S23 has quite a few titles on my Christmas list Smile

One of the two titles I wanted from section 23.
I got into this before it was licensed and though 'This looks awesome! If only it would be licensed!'

I'm definitely buying!

I'm currently watching this on TANoD (eps 1-4) and I'm enjoying it so far. I'll reserve a purchase until it completes, just in case the ending is... typical of many anime.

Joking. Settle down.

Trinity Blood fans. Sheesh.

Razz

(though I'll probably still get it regardless just because the first 4 eps are good)

This anime was good based off the first episode (Thanks, Anime Network!) so i'll wait to get it. All of my stores around town don't have it in yet, apparantly :S.

I hate this sort of approach, but I think it's necessary that people learn just what the hell is going on:

animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=22

Apparently, the Canaan blu-ray is either late/delayed/whoknowswhat, and Sentai has said nothing on the matter.

Conveniently, their e-mail system seems to be broken, as well as their site being completely outdated in terms of releases...

It wasn't much of a delay. Right Stuf is there warehouse provider and had them to ship out on release date. Stock is on its way to places like Amazon, Best Buy etc. Unfortunately, blurays are still fairly expensive to produce and capacity is still somewhat limited. Anime releases have very low print runs, so they are generally pushed to the back of the queue at replicators. This can cause delays and has several times in the past.

Also, its quite common for Sentai's blurays to ship on their street date or even be slightly delayed. So far, only Tears to Tiara has shipped early.

I think getting angry and demanding an explanation on the RELEASE DATE is a bit much. If it was several days or weeks (like Legend of the Dark King) I could understand. But this isn't nearly as bad as the delays we've gotten from Media Blasters, Bandai and Funimation.

I watched this series week-to-week when it was airing in Japan last year, and I'm watching the english dub as it comes on my Anime Network on Demand channel on TV now, and I'll be picking up the DVD as soon as I can. I had a problem with a number of the main voices in the dub at first(not because of bad acting, just because of voices I didn't think fit well) but I've gotten used to them. And even though the show sorta loses steam in the 2nd half, I still really enjoyed it for what it was.
