Oh wow, so Viz will be doing it after all. They were the likely candidate & we knew that somebody had reacquired the license, but it's good to see official word now.
Not sure if I'll buy it, but I'll look into it. I've heard that TenTen's storyline had jumped the shark for quite some time now. And it wouldn't surprise me if FUNimation wound up re-licensing the anime. Actually, I'm surprised that it hasn't been re-licensed already. Granted, Trigun took longer than most people thought it would, I'd imagine. |

Well, it makes sense. It was either them or Yen Press, and I had a hunch Yen Press wouldn't.

Let's see if the bookstores will stock it. They're already shrinking the manga sections, making it less likely they'll stock a limited seller like a M-rated manga. (And I somehow doubt Viz's editor lady favorite is Ten-Ten.)

enurtsol: Even if they don't, the comic stores will. But hey, if they can take a chance on it, it'd be nice if we got an English version of Ichi the Killer, too, Viz.

Quick Question: Is this better than the anime? I've been stalled at episode 11 of the anime (Maya's backstory) for over a year now, but I did try hard to like the show and really thought I could if it didn't feel like it was dragging it's heels.

Thank you Viz!! I read Tenjo Tenge through scans, but never bought it, since CMX edited the crap out of it, from what I've heard. Now I have a reason to buy this. Looking forward to June!!

I was interested in this before I heard CMX had edited it, but if we're getting it uncensored, then I have no reason not to buy it now. I look forward to its release!

Oh, and I can't wait to find out it's a crappy seller, because everyone who scantalated it while bitching about the CMX version suddenly doesn't feel obligated to buy a legit unedited version.

Hmm...if Viz is acquiring CMX titles, then I hope they pick up Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne! They've got all of Tanemura's other titles, so it would be nice to see this one re-released with Viz covers.
