This series is hilarious and I can't wait to read the next volume in the series. It's nice to see Viz releasing a title with characters in their 20s who no longer deal with cliche high school drama. I can't believe there isn't more stuff like this being released. I hope this sells well for Viz allowing for future licenses geared for the adult female audience as well as other Yuki Yoshihara works.

I absolutely agree with SmartChick - this series is a breath of fresh, hysterical air in a market saturated with teen stuff. (Though isn't this technically josei, not shoujo?) There's probably not much hope for Yoshihara's Aisuru Hito getting an English release, but the pages of Petit should be plundered for more English translation!

I, too. wish there was more manga like this published in English. It's fresh and entertaining and a nice change from high school romance. I can't wait to get my hands on this volume and I hope the series sells well enough for Viz to consider licensing more of Yoshihara's work.

I bought volumes 1-4, but finally realized I wasn't enjoying myself. I'm glad the review pointed out that the relationship is "more unsettling than endearing". Of course it is! This manga, whether it means to or not, runs rampant with misogyny. The most blatant example is in vol 3 when she basically convinces herself that she's not a good girlfriend or not appreciative enough of him because she doesn't like the fact that he is constantly trying to have sex with her. His response to her concerns about it don't reflect a loving relationship at all. Sex can be important, but it shouldn't take over the goddamn relationship.
