So, they sent out some ceast and desist letters and the Japanese let them start the simultcast againt - not that those cease and desist letters are going to stop much. It probably came primarily down to the appropriate folks on the Japanese side being convinced how stupid they were being. Regardless, it's good to see that it's coming back. I confess that I don't like it all that much, but it definitely deserves to be brought to the North American market.

Interestingly enough no fansub group seems to have received a C&D over this.

So I guess FUNi's legal measures are like their security measures... spoiler[nonexistent.]

Looks like someone at Funimation had to go and break some kneecaps. And it worked, yay! Very Happy

Despite what Daizo says, I trust Funimation enough that they are taking the right measures and very pleased to see that Fractale is getting streamed again. While originally I only had mild interest in seeing this show, I'll definitely start watching it this week and support their efforts.

It's good to hear that Funimation is able to simulcast Fractale again.

Though that doesn't excuse all the people who let themselves to be known as idiots when it comes to fansubs from the last thread.

I still think that there was something going on behind the scenes that none of us is privy to and that if we were aware of it, would help make some sort of sense out of this mess. I sort of have to believe that because to take everything at face value is just too weird.

This is my belief as well. The statement here just feels like it was made to save face.

For some reason, I just can't shake the notion that this might just have been something like a marketing trick to achieve this exact result.
