Wow, didn't expect a follow up to Utawarerumono. Y'know if it does well chances are it might get...hmmm an animated series. I'm pleased at this news, but I can't celebrate too much because A) I don't know enough Japanese. to enjoy the first game and B) same as above answer but now it's the 2nd game. Kudos anyway.

I wasn't expecting a sequel for Utaware (original game being from 2002 and all), but I'm very excited to see what Utawarerumono 2 is about. My first thought when I saw that image was older Aruru, but the ears don't match and look like Yuzuha's ears. Maybe she is (spoilers from the game's end)spoiler[Hakuoro and Yuzuha's child? Now that I think about it, game's end was rather strange (Oboro leaving Tuskuru with Hakuoro's child to see the world before Hakuoro's apparent return). If she really is Hakuoro's child], then the sequal could have been already been planned before the first game.
Tear to Tiara had a really rushed ending, so a sequal is really needed. (Spoilers for the ending) spoiler["Yeah, we beat one of the angels, now the world is in peace"! What?! What about the 10 other angels and the freaking god?] |

Yay!! Two games that have zero chance of ever being translated into English. I'd like to be excited for this, as I enjoyed both games, but seeing as how they are both being released for the PS3, I doubt we will ever see a translation of them.

That's an interesting idea, since spoiler[the child is probably also part demon/god/whatever-Witsarunemitea-is], although if that it indeed the route that the game takes, then a future anime adaptation is farked since spoiler[Yuzuha never gave birth to Hakuoro's kid in the anime] from what I can remember. Personally, I also thought she looked more like an older Aruru |

I am hugely interested in finding out more about a new work by Yuuichi Suzumoto. It's been a long time since he's worked on a game scenario since Planetarian was released back in 2004, so it's great to see he's still writing.

Anime adaption for both Utawarerumono 2 and Tears to Tiara 2, please!
Utawarerumono is already one of my top ten fave anime as its story-wise seems to be pretty good. Tears to Tiara, on other hand, seems to be pretty rushed and concluded with the "Power of Friendship". :/ |

Oh, I would also like to add will they be getting vocalist 'Suara' back to sing the OP? As much as a loved the song she did for the anime OP I loved the PS2 game OP even more.
