Hayashi died at the age of 35 not 34, she died when she drank too much on her 35th birthday and suffocated on her own vomit.

Chances are she was in the film and died before filming completed so they'll be digitally reinsert her to finish the film. This isn't new, it's been done for years in Hollywood (and I'm sure elsewhere). |

I didn't know that Anno directed live-action either. That sounds awful about Yumika Hayashi, it sounds like she passed away in the same fashion as the original singer for AC/DC. I guess this kind of tragedy happens more often than one would expect. Rest in peace. |
