Six days and four nights? How does that work? I suppose it would technically cover six calendar days, where you spend five days, four nights in LA and then fly back to Japan, by which time it'll be the next day on the calendar relative to California's date...

Also, assuming if it's the same setup as 2008 and 2010, the seating for the Nokia Theatre will only be on the first floor...

Well, never underestimate the will of the Japanese otaku...

I'm sure they'd rather spend that money on her weekly figure releases.

Well, what does that package all include? Is that flight and hotel? If so, that's incredibly cheap. It's not like they're heading there, watching the concert, and turning around and flying back. Hell, I spend about that much when I attend Anime Expo (flying in from the east coast, 5 night stay at a hotel) so I don't see how it can be viewed as expensive. Of course, again that solely depends on what's all included in the package.

I've seen people spent more on less. Given how popular Miku is, it shouldn't surprise anyone.

Wonder if AX gets a cut!

I heard that when Halko came to AX there were fans of her's flying from Japan to L.A. just to see her. These fans are that dedicated. Any concert no matter where it is, is a chance to see her perform. I don't think Miku is any exception.

And this is all the more reason I think the Miku concert will sell out. People will even buy extra tickets and not even use them, just to make sure the concert does sell out.

Meh, that's a rip-off, 'cus unlike Japan, there's shit to do in L.A. that would justify that kind of dough.

Or buy them only to turn round and sell them at double, or quadruple the ticket price. Wink

Those models are looking like the same models they used for the 2011 concert in Tokyo, to which are a great improvement to the models used for 2010, however I wasn't too impressed with the way they projected them. I hope the projection box stays in Japan and they use the reticular screen again. That worked a treat in 2010. Wink

I was thinking the same thing. Living in America I can barely do that for so cheap. I wonder if they're cramming people into a Days Inn 2 miles away or something.

I don't understand the kind of person who would want to see a fictional person at a concert sing terribly and especially at that price.

$2320 for a 4 day trip to the US not that cheap. Economy round trip tickets are about $1100 (high end), AX admission is $60 (?) and four nights at something like the Westin Bonadventure is $700. So...maybe...$2000 would be the price of the total package. And, I doubt meals are included. So, sounds like the tour agency gets a good $300 commission per person.

I've seen lots of Japanese people fly out to meet Japanese guests at conventions. There were several who flew out just to get VOFAN's signature at Sakuracon this year, and I've seen many Japanese people at AX before.

Hotels in California are so cheap that 4 nights is only $700?

I figured that hotels would be ridiculously expensive there.

It's a group charter which are always cheaper as beds are sold in bulk.
