Ah, it's airing on the Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting Communication, the *other* CBC. I got my hopes up unnecessarily for a second. Maybe this will give rise to an urban legend that Canadians will be able to watch Persona 4 on over-the-air broadcast television, the same way some American anime fans I encountered in forums used to believe that Magic Knight Rayearth was shown in Canada on YTV, when the YTV in the credits stood for "Yomiuri Television".
Also, I'm pleased to hear that the English pronunciation in the theme song is exactly in line with that of the game's opening, where I heard things like "I don't use Hane, I Lean Cuisine". (Actual lyrics: "But it's no use, hey, I'm being consumed.") |

So wait, half a year means it'll be in the 24-26 episode range, right? I was kinda hoping for more of a 40-50-ish episode run, but as long as it's done well I'll be happy.

24-26 is best possible scenario for a late night anime, since they never sell timeslots for more than 2 cour at a time. |

Thanks for posting this because the link is not working anymore. Don't know what happened. Like the OP can't wait until October to see how it all goes down. Not to mention see what Meguro has up his sleeve.

Mayonaka-tv only has the trailers up for 3 hour stints, from Midnight Japan time to 3am, to simulate the whole "Midnight Channel" aspect.

Well I guess 26 episodes is a decent amount for the series. That should probably be enough to cover most of the main plot points though I imagine most of the side stuff may be taken out.
Odd that some of the social link characters were in that trailer though. With 26 episodes, I figured any kind of focus on them wouldn;t happen. |

If they had more than 26 episodes, they'd be doing something wrong. There's no reason this show should be that slow. Remember, the dialogue will come a lot faster now
They also might change the plot a bit, just so its not a retread of the game... Someone should try and partition the plot of Persona 4 into 26 episodes - just to guess. |

I'm game. I'll review the first portion of the game (that I've recently gotten through) and see if I can figure it out. I do figure that each dungeon will be one episode, with a possibility of a second episode for the two that have multiple Shadow bosses. For now, though, my thoughts on Social Links included: Fool spoiler[Investigation Team, automatic. We'll be seeing these events since it's the majority of the story] Magician spoiler[Yosuke. There will probably be an episode for him dealing with the loss of Saki and his feelings, to 'represent' this Social Link, likely mid-series or early 2nd half. His Social Link unlocks his 2nd Persona, which will definitely be shown.] Priestess spoiler[Yukiko. There'll likely be two half-episode parts to 'represent' her Social Link, one early after her dungeon, one late series where she makes her resolution and gets her 2nd Persona.] Empress spoiler[Margaret. I doubt much Fusion is going to be happening, so this link is out.] Emperor spoiler[Kanji. Like Yosuke and Yukiko, his will be shown, and probably a single-episode thing like Yosuke's. Mid-2nd half, I'd say, to get him his 2nd Persona.] Hierophant spoiler[Dojima. Considering what happens late in the series and what it deals with, Dojima's link is definitely going to be covered, if not in full, the bigger portions.] Lovers spoiler[Rise. Where I'm at in the game, I just started Rise's Link, so I don't completely remember what it was about, but it'll probably be covered in a single-episode.] Chariot spoiler[Chie. Unlike the other party characters, I don' t think Chie'll get her own episode, because, like in the game, Chie gets the short end of the stick. She doesn't get her own dungeon, or even story leading to her Shadow fight, and she wouldn't get her own episode, either. Still, it'll be there in some form, so she can get her 2nd Persona.] Justice spoiler[Nanako. Like Dojima's, it'll be covered, and hers goes hand-in-hand with his. I actually prefer doing them together, and not letting one get ahead of the other.] Hermit spoiler[Fox. Not gonna get shown.] Fortune spoiler[Naoto. Naoto's isn't available until late-game, which hurts the chances of there being a dedicated episode. I think Naoto's Social Link will be represented in some way, but not the in-game story. Also, Naoto doesn't have a 2nd Persona, so there's no reason it has to be done.] Strength spoiler[Sports Team. Shown in the trailer, so it'll be in the game. I think the trailer just showed Soccer, so that'll probably be the route taken.] Hanged Man spoiler[Naoki. I've never finished his Social Link, but I've heard it's interesting. However, it takes a lot of set-up, so I doubt it'll be in the series.] Death spoiler[Crap, forget her name, it's the old lady. Another one I doubt will show up, because it's a bit of a departure from the others (and rather depressing).] Temperance spoiler[Eri, the young mother. Not gonna happen. Like Death, it's a departure from the rest of the Social Links, because it has nothing to do with school or people you'd normally meet.] Devil spoiler[Sayoko, the nurse. Outside night Social Links are no-go, that'll be Heirophant/Justice time. Also, it goes with the above two "non-school" Links.] Tower spoiler[Shu, the tutoring kid. Again, I don't think we'll get any of the "non-school" Social Links, because there's no reason to show them. Plus, it's a night one, which will be focused on other things.] Star spoiler[ Teddie, automatic. Like Fool, this will be represented in its entirety, because it goes along with the story, and there's no way to actually skip these scenes. Also, 2nd Persona.] Moon spoiler[Ai. She's shown in the trailer, plus it goes along with Strength, which is also shown in the trailer.] Sun spoiler[Cultural Club. I doubt they'll do this one, but on the off-chance they do, it'll probably be Drama over Band. Still, this one is less likely than Hanged Man.] Judgment spoiler[Investigation Team part 2, automatic. It's in the "final" dungeon, so we'll get it.] World spoiler[Doesn't exist. I just spoilered it because some people might not know/want to know.] If we assume the episode counts I've already listed above, that covers about 17 episodes, and then there's 9 more episodes for "between" stuff. Yeah, I think I can plot this out... |

Actually in-game, Naoto spoiler[does have her Persona evolve; you need to finish her Social Link at a very limited time span (always choose the right choices that'll maximize her liking towards you, and make sure your stats are maxed).]

That's what I thought (I did it my first game), but the Megaten Wiki didn't list anything, and they did for everyone else.
