Nice to see I am Here! make the list. The main girl was very easy for me to empathise with.

Not to be mean, but why do people seem to like Black Bird so much? Just asking Confused

Same reason people like Twilight, it's a bodice-ripper style of story telling. Where the drinking of blood symbolizes sex, and you can have a lot suggestive plot points.
I just wish that so much romance stories weren't anti-women.

I always ask myself that same question.

Yeah, and you can in fact be female and find that series disgusting and it's popularity disturbing. You know like me.

This. I'm totally turned off by how smutty Black Bird is, and I'm disturbed that teenage girls are acting reading this S&M nonsense.

I don't have any problems with teenagers reading smut or S&M based stories actually, to each their own. I have tremendous problems with them reading misogynistic books like Black Bird and Twilight that promote abusive relationships and treat them as "perfect". Books where the entire point is how valuable a female character is because she's a virgin, and the entire subtext is that she should only be defiled by her true love after they marry. Oh boy do I have a problem with those books, in comparison teenage kids reading BDSM porn? Doesn't remotely bother me.
