I sometimes wish people didn't tell me these things existed, so I won't be disappointed when they never come stateside.

Still sounds totally awesome. I've never played the first three, and having save states anywhere sounds like a great way to breeze through them.

NoA hasn't announced release date plans for it yet, but with how well the Dragon Quest games have been doing under Nintendo's care and promotions, I won't be surprised if it gets released. We're getting DQM Joker 2 and Itadaki Street (Fortune Street for the US I think). Two games I honestly thought would never see the day of light in America.

Speaking of which, I still need to get DQ V, VI, and IX on the DS. Might take up Gamestop's deal on trading a DS Lite for the 3DS at a lower discounted price soon. LoZ 3D and the DQ games.

This game had BETTER come to NA. That will make collecting all the games so much easier for me. I like to complete game series.

I've never played a single Dragon Quest game. But, If this were to come stateside I would jump right on it. The beginning seems like a good place to start to me.

I've known about this for quite some time, but I've played every Dragon Quest game ever licensed (which all of them are, after much more than a decade plus) and although I've been playing video games for seventeen years, Dragon Quest is one of the very few RPG series to change the least since it was created 25 years ago.

Still has the same theme song it had 25 years ago and is still set in the same time period, with the exception of part of Dragon Quest Nine. I've played several video games and tons of RPG games, some can withstand the test of time and some are one hit wonders.

But for a series to stay that consistent in both the music (with minor updates of courses) and such, it's a amazing feat.

I'd like to be able to play Dragon Quest I, II and III again, as it's been over a decade since I last played Dragon Quest I, II and III and when I last played the game, Enix had yet to merge with Square Soft and the Dragon Warrior title was still used.

These days, Dragon Quest is one of the last remaining series that I will buy simply because of the name. Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest Monsters, they are all exceptional games.

But like Son-Kun, I had never expected to see another Dragon Quest Monster game actually made any time soon, let alone licensed, so it's always awesome to see any new Dragon Quest game.

Ah, I recall playing Dragon Warrior when it came out. That game seemed so hard back then when it's your first JRPG ever. Laughing

Luckily I was able to play the original Dragon Warrior for the Nintendo system and yeah, it was a bit challenging. But eventually, after several years of playing the series, it becomes much easier and much more fun.

I'd buy it for the Wii if it ever was licensed, but the Wii was very few RPG games, so I am not sure if that will actually ever happen.

Although this fairly common knowledge, besides Dragon Quest, there are spin offs of the game as well. Dragon Quest Monsters, Torneko, Rocket Slime and several others.

Although there is a Torneko two, it was never licensed and was made for the Playstation two. I played the original Torneko for the playstation and while it's fair to say it's a somewhat dated game, it still is a great game.

Somehow, every Dragon Quest Monster game has been licensed and released thus far. The original was actually Dragon Warrior Monsters and for it's time, was a pretty great game.

The only sub-par or borderline bad DQ game I can think of was Dragon Quest Swords for the Wii. That was based off of the Electronic Toy Line exclusive to Japan. It should've stayed exclusive.

I wonder what Nintendo is going to do with DQX for the Wii. With the Wii U coming around 2012 for the US, my guess would be to simply make a HD graphics rehaul for the American release. Add it as part of the premiere line-up.

I'd rather Nintendo bring this over than Square. They've treated Dragon Quest IX, VI, and Monsters Joker 2 beautifully. But first, I'd like them to bring over Monster Battle Road Victory for Wii!
