166k first week sales is a heck of a lot for a LN series which hasn't had an anime series, i imagine after the series airs those sales figures will be ALOT higher, maybe getting close to Haruhi LN sales figures, certainly higher than Baka to Test, Toaru Majutsu, Infinite Stratos etc. etc.

BokuTomo will likely be the best selling show of the season... This is even more than Ore no Imouto was selling before it got an anime, and Ore no Imouto sold like 25-30k a volume (which was the top of its season).
