I'll have to give this a try. I love the anime, which is Tezuka doing what he did best: telling the intertwining stories of two protagonists who only meet occasionally, and showing the very different directions their lives take. Plus, it's set in the years leading up to the Meiji Restoration, covering some of the same territory as Kenshin, but with better historical underpinning.
