Nice showing for Onegai Teacher! I wonder how much AnoNatsu's airing had to do with the numbers.

Probably not too much. Have to remember that both Onegai franchises sold rather highly in Japan, around 12-13k per volume in its initial DVD release.

Horizon In The Middle Of Nowhere is a real surprise to me. I enjoyed watching the series and all but...

I don't know what kind of sales gdgd Fairies needs to be doing, but I hope what it got is somehow enough to fund A HUNDRED MORE EPISODES.

Considering how cheap it must be to make, I think it's probably doing well enough for the powers that be to consider more.

Kind of pains me to see Guilty Crown actually outperforming anything, but oh well.

Maybe we should take account the production costs for this series. For all we know, that number allowed this series getting closer to break even.

Guilty Crown might need more than like 10,000 copies to break even.Laughing

Just 3,000 to go.

This way be just wishful thinking, but the fact that the final volume of Tiger & Bunny is now officially released in Japan, I hope this means that Viz is releasing a North American Blu Ray release.

I have had to stop myself from downloading the Japanese Blu Ray fansubs and I actually even stopped myself from watching the rest of the series streaming because I want to support and purchase the actual official North American Blu Ray release and watch that show in all of it's HD goodness.

Makes me feel happy since I would love to see more of it. Movie, OVA, second season whatever.

Despite what some people are saying, Guilty Crown's animation quality isn't that spectacular. It's good, but it's not so insanely great that it cost tons more to animate.

I'm not going to guess how much it cost to produce, or how many copies it needs to break even, but I'm guessing if it somehow doesn't sell enough copies to recoup production costs, the soundtrack will surely cover the rest.

lol @ Last Exile.
Guilty Crown is good, alteast better than alot of series last season.
Horizon is one of the series that American love to complain "It's Too Confusing" and suggest that people have to follow certain rules on writing a story, if they break the rule, it's bad.

Actually I'm pretty sure Horizon is just flat out terrible, as any decent reviewer can attest to.

But yea, I guess boob groping and lifeless characters is all the jazz in Japan.
