Nobody ever really seemed to play it; I generally got my multiplayer MGS fix via Portable Ops.

Seriously. If it wasn't for that, I would've played it all the time.

Thats a shame, the online was quite cool. Sad to see old game servers go down forever.

Seemed really interesting, but the server browser was awful. If I could ever get into a game, the lag was ridiculous. Tried for a few days and gave up.

It's crazy that so many games now don't allow people to run their own servers, and disappear forever after a few years or months. Imagine if you could only read about Pacman in history books, and couldn't play it because the servers had shut down. I just find the idea mind-boggling.

Consumer protection laws should require companies to release the necerrary server binaries or code for players to be able to potentially get a game running, if they decide to shut down something people paid money for, imho.
