I don't like that Rising Stars of Manga contest. The chances of winning it are very slim since so many other people are competing. If I want people to read my manga, I'd rather just do what Fred Gallagher, the creator of MegaTokyo did: start up a webpage and post my manga there. And if I'm lucky, some company will like my series enough that they want to make it into a manga.

And I don't think you would be able to enter now if it's almost over. You should try for next year.
