I remember reading about the animated project six years ago.

I a little scared that I remember that.

To the extent that I ever thought about it, I probably just wrote it off as failed by attrition. That it's still alive and has been adapted into manga by the Dance in the Vampire Bund guy was unexpected.

The were-wolf looks silly; almost like the mascot for a grocery-story brand knock-off version of Fruit Brute.

*Why is were-wolf written without the dash censored to SPAM?

What does it say about me if I'm put off without actually knowing much about this simply because I'm rather sure the typeface used for the title is Papyrus?

I am a funimation fan-boy and I look forward to hearing more about this movie, however the cover looks like bad anime style rip off art to me

In regards to the volume cover-art: yeah, it looks pretty bad, but not to worry, Tamaki's style is far more clean inside the volumes.

Tamaki often draws horribly static covers (look at the Dance in the Vampire Bund cover) and they come off looking pretty corny. Thankfully the page-to-page manga art is loads better.

Anyway, not too terribly interested in the story, so I'll be passing on this. Seven Seas sure loves Tamaki Nozomu, eh?

Was this originally published in Japan or was it contract work?

Asking because I couldn't find anything on Amazon Japan.

Apparently it was a failed pitch American cartoon that Funi picked up, or something? I'm guessing contract work, something like their Dragon Age and Mass Effect stuff.

My biggest issue with the Bund manga was the inconsistent art (Shockingly the overly-sexualized minor was a secondary factor), so I'm hoping GoL offers up a more polished look into Tamaki's talent, because I surely found some intriguing things to enjoy about his work.

To be honest, the only record we have is your submission. Like RestlessOne said, I'm still wondering if it is a contracted work (and will be regarded as OEL manga), as I can't find any info of Guardians of Luna on Flex Comix. Using Google, the only thing I could find with the word "Guardian" that's related with Tamaki is the three volume novel series Vampire Guardian written by Yūtarō Watanabe (渡辺 裕多郎) and illustrated by Tamaki.

The book is still early in production, but it will be written in Japanese and then translated into English.
