NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Make more Zetsubou Sensei Anime! Please! The greatest Manga is ending the only Manga I paid money for. Media Blasters is pissing me off! Give Zetsubou Sensei to SOMEONE WHO WILL RELEASE IT!

It sucks that it's ending so suddenly considering that there's much funny parodies and satire to do. This is by far the most creative manga series i've ever read in my life, and the fact that it's ending, makes me sad.
I wonder who the teacher is going to end up with though. |

Is Kumeta just ending the series or did it get cancelled?

Man it's gone on that long? 28 volumes? Well, at least it's ending. I have to get back to reading it. I've been requesting it for out collection but had to stop for a bit. Will be getting back on it. I wish they would release the series, seems that's still up in the air.

Great, now I can buy the last few volumes I've been skipping on. ^__^
All good things must come to an end I suppose. 
But wasn't Season 1 licensed by Media Blasters a while ago? |

It seems to be kind of a combination of both since the author himself has been mentioning the series ending more frequently since somewhere in the 260s (chapter-count). I as a reader also noticed a certain decrease in joke quality, so it seemed to me he doesn't really come up with anything new. Another reason for the series ending might also be chapter 268, which was excluded from the book because it was too similar to a Doraemon chapter. Kumeta really seemed to care a lot about that and according to his "paper blogs" at the end of the volume the chapter should have been in, it was his decision to remove it from the comic book. With 9 more chapters to come, the series will now end with chapter 301, filling 30 volumes. "30" seems to be a kind of magical volume count for Kumeta. spoiler[The very last chapter of Katte ni Kaizou features Kumeta as a patient in the mental ward who thinks his manga is still ongoing and has reached volume 30.] Since he already started preparing for the ending some time ago spoiler[By making Sensei's class go up a year, them now being in grade 3, and by revealing some stuff about certain characters] you could already see he's preparing for an ending. Thus, I think the series is getting ended because of decreasing quality and sales (which would be what you usually call "cancelled"), but the atuhor gets enough time to do a proper ending. He's already been on a kind of ending route for the past few chapters, I'm very thrilled to see what really will be there in the end. |
