I saw at least 4-5 arcs from the show in this teaser. This movie is gonna have to be directed by a Peter Jackson clone in order to adequately fit all those stories in within 4.5 hours, lol.

That is the intention of WB is to make this an international release. Probably not a huge release, but you'll be able to catch it in theaters located in big cities.

4.5 hours? Hot damn, that's a long movie. That said, it looks fun. Not mind blowingly awesome, but it looks like it'll live up to what it wants to do, so that's at least good. Love to see it released here with subtitles.

OMG. That looks SO COOL it's not even funny. Anime hyper

The actor playing Kenshin is ridiculously perfect! I never imagined a real human being saying "oro" could be as cute as it's supposed to be in the manga. The fighting looks intense too, especially the bits with Saitou, and the Gatling gun fight. Wish I could see this when it comes out!

According to one of the ZIP! hosts and Cinema Today, production on four versions of this newest trailer with English, Chinese, French, and Spanish subtitles has been approved.

That's cool. Smile

Here's the official English subbed (horribly done IMO) trailer.

I dunno who the heck translated it, but they should be fired.

Wanted to write the same. I must say it's hilarious Very Happy It seems the movie was so expensive that they couldn't afford someone with good English + some basic knowledge of the story Razz

Apart from that, the trailer itself is pretty badass. I was worried about Saitou but then he used Gatotsu second stance... No more worries Very Happy
Plus there were mostly dramatic pictures around, I was glad to see they kept the lighter side of the manga Smile The part where Kaoru meets Kenshin = just perfect Smile

I gotta say; even though I somewhat bashed the last teaser trailer, the action scenes in this look pretty cool. However I still think that all the scenes in between those will be extremely dull and boring as it looks to be either following the manga/anime/movies. If something new were to happen, then that would be good.

Also my opinion on the characters themselves might also be controversial; since I don't know how you'll bring some of these characters to life. The example I'll use is: "How to bringspikey haired characters to life. To me, it would be much more interesting to give a relatively good reason why his hair is down, than to just leave a hair style as a "flat spike" and not explain it.

We usually call those boring bits, "story". It'll be tough to sit through but I think most people will be able to make do in between the fighting scenes.

Spiky hair is a character trait that decent hair styling products can reproduce.

I'm saying that a lot of people going to see this movie has already either read the manga or seen the movies and anime, so even though this is part of the story, it's a story people have already heard/seen. Hence the hoping of something new.

Although you can reproduce this with styling products, I have yet to see a character in a live action adaptation to have this style of hair throughout the show/movie. If they are able to, it's obvious they have had to redo the style again and again due to action scenes, sweat, mishaps, etc.
