Sounds like this confirms it, the new manga doesn't have new characters but rather uses the old characters in a new situation, as inspired by the film. Still sounds cool and I hope we get it brought over here, but the film itself still sounds like the most exciting part.
Another PSP game is awesome too though, I really want the first one even if I have to import it. But what's this about a 'novel' version of the series? |

So basically, Watsuki has had pretty much zero success since RK and just wants to try and cash in on its resurgence.
