Hm, I have the first two Raymond Benson Metal Gear Solid novels, but I had no idea there was an actual Japanese novelization. Considering I was THAT guy on "MGS HD Collection"'s launch day, lined up to buy the limited edition while everybody else was lined up to get "Modern Warfare 3", I will snatch this up upon release.

At least I'm not the only one who knows about the 2 MGS novels written by Raymond Benson (I like him for writing James Bond and also did several Splinter Cell novels). Also I didn't know MGS: Guns of the Patriots had a novel adaptation not done by Benson or any American authors. I'm also surprised Del-Rey (they published the 2 MGS novels Benson authored) wasn't the one getting the license for this novel.

One more question: Did any of Benson's Metal Gear Solid novel ever get a Japanese release? I'm curious.

I'd buy this! I hope there's an EU release. (I did quickly scan through so don't yell at me if it does say so.) Then again, I can always import it.

I've never heard of the Raymond Benson novels at all (heck, I didn't know there were ANY Metal Gear novels until now), but I am intrigued...I'm probably not gonna like this answer, but how hard would it be to find those now?

Can't wait to pick this up either, luckily it seems RightStuf is gonna carry it.

Unlike Raymond Benson, Project Itoh was a long-time MGS fan long before he wrote the novel. He wrote a few fanfics and dojinshi long before he was approached to do the novel and even maintained a fansite for Kojima's works.
